The Aruba ED-Card (Embarkation-Disembarkation Card) is an online form required from all travelers – both foreigners and locals. It was designed to help better monitor the visitors' flow and collect funds for sustainable tourism practices.
The ED-Card must be completed each time the traveler crosses the Aruban border (so for each arrival and departure).
To apply, they must fill out the online form with personal data, passport details, and travel plans. A confirmation will be delivered to the applicant's email address.
By applying for the ED-Card with Passporta, travelers can be sure their forms are carefully checked and processed by our experts.
On arrival to Aruba, visitors must undergo a screening process – only then will the authorities decide if they can enter the country.
IMPORTANT: The Aruba ED-Card is not a visa. Travelers who aren't visa-exempt must apply for a suitable entry permit beforehand to enter the country.
With Passporta, you can be sure that the Aruba ED-Card application process is safe and straightforward.
By choosing Passporta, you can easily get your Aruba ED-Card and focus on the trip while we handle the formalities!
Every person entering or leaving Aruba is required to have a valid Aruban ED-Card.
The registration must be completed by foreign tourists and local residents returning to Aruba. The Aruban ED-Card isn't mandatory for those who transit and don't leave the airport area.
Travelers who are going to Aruba need the following documents to fill out the registration form for the Embarkation-Disembarkation Card:
Upon entering Aruba, immigration officers may also ask the visitor to present a hotel booking confirmation and proof of sufficient funds apart from the above documents.
Travelers who can't enter Aruba visa-free need a valid visa.
The process of registering in the Aruban ED-Card system with Passporta is very simple and shouldn't take more than a few minutes. We've prepared a short application form to make the process as easy as possible.
As soon as the online application is approved, the traveler will receive their Aruban ED-Card at the email address provided in the form.
The Embarkation-Disembarkation Card registration typically takes 20 minutes, but the processing may be slightly prolonged as our experts at Passporta check all forms.
IMPORTANT: It's possible to complete the process earlier, but the application can only be processed within the 7-day period before departure.
The ED-Card remains valid for a single visit and must be completed each time the traveler enters or leaves Aruba.
The online Embarkation-Disembarkation Card was created for visitors staying in Aruba for tourism, family matters, or business for no more than 30 days.
The number of days ED-Card holders can spend in Aruba cannot exceed 180 days per year.
The processing time for the Aruba Embarkation-Disembarkation Card can vary, but it shouldn't take more than a few hours.
Travelers can register in the online ED-Card system anytime, but their application can be processed within the 7-day period before departure. Even if they submit the form earlier, our experts at Passporta will process it on time.
While waiting for the Aruban ED-Card approval notice, look at the example below. The authorized document will look exactly like that.
