Who Can Apply for the Vietnam e-Visa?

The Vietnam electronic visa can be obtained by citizens of all countries in the world. A number of nationalities can, however, enter Vietnam without a visa for a period from 14 to 90 days (depending on the country).

You can see the precise requirements for your country via the Passporta checker tool. It is located at the top of the page and provides immediate access to the regulations of Vietnam.

To be eligible for online application, travelers must pursue leisure, transit, or business purposes of travel exclusively while the planned stay in the country is 90 days or less.

Vietnam e-Visa Requirements

All applicants for a Vietnam e-Visa must prepare the mandatory documentation, including:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Vietnam
  • Recent photo of the applicant's face

It is essential to know that Vietnamese authorities have strict requirements for a face photograph: it should be of decent quality, not older than 6 months, without glasses, and the applicant's eyes should look directly into the camera.

What is the Vietnam e-Visa?

Vietnam e-Visa is a government-issued electronic visa granting access to Vietnam that simplifies the visa process by allowing travelers to apply online and avoid traditional paperwork.

Visitors can use the online application process if traveling to Vietnam for tourism, business, or transit for a period that does not exceed 90 days.

The electronic visa to Vietnam can be issued as a single-entry or a multiple-entry permit.

To apply, eligible travelers must complete the online form with the requested personal and travel data, attach documents, and pay the fee. The approval will come as a PDF document after a 5-day processing.

The experienced team at Passporta will help to make the process smoother by providing ongoing support and extra verification, allowing applicants to focus on their travel plans.

IMPORTANT: It is possible to enter Vietnam only through the entry port selected during the application process.

By choosing Passporta, you can easily get your Vietnam visa online and focus on the trip while we handle the formalities!

How to Apply for a Vietnam e-Visa?

Travelers who want to get a Vietnam visa online must have a working device like a smartphone, laptop, or tablet and access to the internet.

The application process at Passporta consists of several simple steps:

  1. Fill out the form accurately to avoid mistakes and attach documentation.
  2. Submit the visa fee along with your form using online payment means.
  3. Receive the result via the email address provided in the form.

The issued Vietnam e-Visa arrives as a PDF document, which must be then printed out.

Vietnamese authorities need around 5 days to process the application. Since our team also checks the form before submitting it to authorities to eliminate mistakes, the entire waiting time may take up to 10 days.
