COVID-19
Worldwide cover for COVID-19 treatment and assistance is included. SIGNAL IDUNA was among the first insurers to offer protection if you fall ill with COVID-19 while travelling, covering treatment costs caused by SARS-CoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 along with their mutations. Within the Safe Travels insurance we also extend the cover for up to 7 days at no extra charge for medical costs and assistance if a previously planned return from abroad has to be cancelled because of an outbreak of an infectious disease or a pandemic that began during the Insured's stay abroad.
MEDICAL EXPENSES
Full cover for the cost of treatment abroad that meets the requirements of most countries around the world - up to €250,000. That means our insurance saves you from having to work out which variant to pick; everything has been carefully thought through in every detail. The policy also includes chronic illnesses, so the necessary treatment of conditions already diagnosed is covered too.
PROTECTION IF YOUR LUGGAGE IS STOLEN OR DAMAGED
Luggage cover in the event of loss or damage. This applies to your travel bags and their contents, including photographic gear, computer equipment, audio and video devices and mobile phones. The insurance pays for travel luggage that is destroyed, as well as for delays to it during the trip, up to the luggage sum insured. And if your documents go missing, you receive full support up to the sum insured.
