Important Update
The Indian authorities have introduced the e-Arrival Card scheme. All foreign travelers need to complete the Indian e-Arrival Card before their entry into the country.
It is essential to note that the document is not a visa to India.

In regard to the Indian e-Visa validity period, permitted stay, and number of entries, different rules apply based on the travel purpose:
- Tourism (30 days) – multiple entries, valid to use for 4 months from the issuing date, grants 30 days of stay in India.
- Transit – double entries, valid to use for 4 months from the issuing date only for the purpose of traveling through India to a different destination.
- Tourism (1 year) – multiple entries, valid for 1 year from the date of visa issue, permits up to 180 days of stay in total.
- Tourism (5 years) – multiple entries, valid for 5 years from the date of visa issue, permits up to 180 days of stay per year.
- Business – multiple entries, valid for 1 year from the date of visa issue, permits up to 180 days of stay per stay.
- Conference – single entry, valid for 4 months from the date of issue, allows a total stay of 30 days.
- Ayurveda – triple entry, valid for 4 months from the date of visa issue, permits up to 60 days of stay.
- Medical – triple entry, valid for 4 months from the date of visa issue, permits up to 60 days of stay.
- Medical Attendant – triple entry, valid for 4 months from the date of visa issue, permits up to 60 days of stay.
